Our History
1990
Founding as a 3-man company in Augsburg
When the machines were still green and our hair was still long, we started as a 3-man business in this backyard workshop.
1991
Relocation to a newly built company building in Königsbrunn
Just one year later, we were able to move into a much more spacious commercial building in Königsbrunn. Although we were only renting here, many of our customisation requests were already implemented during the construction phase.
1992
Integration of CAD-CAM applications
The order for five such moulds prompted us to invest in our first CAD/CAM system from Cisigraph.
1995
Purchase of our first wire EDM machine
After five years, we were finally able to wire-cut ourselves, albeit initially "only" with a second-hand AGIE AC 200.
1996
Important visitor to our company
The then Bavarian Minister President Edmund Stoiber showed great interest in mould making when he visited our company and signed the town of Königsbrunn's Golden Book with us.
1998
Moving into our own premises in Bobingen
Just eight years after the company was founded, we were able to move into our own four walls in a brand new company building in Bobingen
2000
Conversion from conventional eroding to CNC machines
With the turn of the millennium also came the important switch to CNC EDM. A second-hand Ingersoll Gantry 800 replaced our three previous conventional EDM machines.
2004
Entry into 5-axis milling technology
With two new DMU 80Ts, we not only upgraded our milling operations, but also took our first steps in 5-axis milling technology.
2006
Expansion of the technical office and production area
Unfortunately, we were already running out of space again, so we expanded. This not only enabled us to enlarge the production area, but also to significantly expand the office and social areas.
2007
Acquisition of a graphite milling machine
In order to meet the constantly growing EDM demands, we converted our electrode production from copper to graphite with an encapsulated graphite milling machine TVB E-Jet 500.
2008
Entry into additive manufacturing
With a LaserCUSING® M1 system from Concept Laser, we entered additive manufacturing at a very early stage and have been able to generate parts with conformal cooling in-house ever since.
2009
Entry into 5-axis simultaneous milling technology
The usual 2-axis setting and 3-axis simultaneous machining was no longer sufficient. Therefore, with a new DMU 80 monoBLOCK and the entry into 5-axis simultaneous machining, we have once again broken new ground.
2012
Acquisition of the first automated production cell
In order to relieve our employees and at the same time achieve longer machine running times, we started to automate our production. To this end, we invested in a Zimmer + Kreim EDM centre, which connected two Genius 1000 machines with a "Chameleon" linear robot.
2015
Further expansion of the production area
As we were (once again) running out of space, we had to expand again. This time, the production area was extended on the other side of the building.
2017
Expansion of our EDM cell
We utilised the space we gained to expand our EDM cell. By integrating a Röders RXP 601 DSH 5-axis milling machine and a Zeiss DuraMax HTG measuring machine, we were able to further automate our processes.
2020
Corona crisis
You can't see it in the picture, but we were delighted that we got through the coronavirus crisis in good shape. Not only were we able to work through it without short-time working or anything like that, we were even able to invest in a new Ziersch ZR 600 cylindrical grinding machine.
2021
Start of new building
As we were running out of space (again) and had exhausted all extension possibilities, we had no other option than to erect a completely new building. After more than two years of planning, the time had finally come and construction work began in the summer.
2023
Move to the other side of the street
One and a half years later, the time had finally come and we were able to move in. Along with the many modernisations to the building itself, our EDM cell was also completely overhauled and two of our milling machines were replaced with new Hermle C 42 U machines.
